Dialing through disconnection and desire, this series captures a suspended intimacy — moments trapped between fantasy and reality. Shot within the textured, timeworn home in CDMX, the images explore the tension between agency and vulnerability. The telephone, an object meant to bridge distance, becomes a symbol of fractured communication and misinterpretation. The styling — sharp berets, leather cuffs, and fragmented lace — evokes a rebellious yet nostalgic femininity. Each pose, caught between languid and assertive, mirrors the uncertainty of waiting: for a call, for connection, for clarity. By leaning into the surreal, this work asks how much of our intimacy is manufactured, and how much of it is lost to crossed lines.
